I have a very heavy duty pan tilt head on eBay right now. It is perfect for time-lapse photography. It has custom cnc mounts for DC servo motors and is ready to take step and direction if you have a pair of DC motor drivers.
I will also be posting another pan tilt head that runs on stepper motors with drivers and can move cameras under 12 lbs. It is an 'L' design that I built this on my CNC mill out of 2" x 2" square aluminum tubing that's 1/4" thick. Stay tuned. This unit could get you up and running with time-lapse on the open moco engine in a few hours.
