Yeah I think I've caught the bug now that I know how to make PCBs. My mind is on overdrive with shield ideas ;) Do you have any openmoco or dolly shiled accesorries in development? Let me know if you need any help with prototyping this stuff. I'm no engineer but I can operate eagle and have been experiementing with my custom eagle library of parts.

Actually, yes, I've got a few things in the works - was hoping to share them by now, but testing has led to some issues, alas, that have to be resolved.
1: 4x camera splitter (with isolation for each camera). Works w/ MX2, but not w/ PCLix. Since I don't have specs on the OK used in the PCLix cable, I can only presume that it has something to do w/ the fact that I'm running only 1.5V on the splitter board.
2: Adapter for connecting a merlin to the mx2 (or other devices), that is, just plug in a TRS cable on one side, and a RJ-11 cable on the other. So people don't have to solder up their own cables for TTL communication w/ the merlin.
3: The next OM controller board. This is a 1.5x1.5" arduino-compatible single stepper driver board, w/ RS-485 networking, built-in opto-isolation, and some new TLE firmware that deals w/ single motors and an addressable protocol. Of course, updated slim and perl libs, but also this time a multi-threaded (i.e. asynchronous) Qt library for control as well =) Alas, the software is working better than the hardware right now - early testing is blocked by a problem w/ the voltage conversion rail. No biggy yet, but stepping through later today one component at a time until I find the culprit. I expect there to be other issues along the way, but this one is blocking any testing. As soon as the design tests out fully, the details will be public - but if you want to help look over it and see if you can spot any issues, or have any suggestion, I'd love to share it with you.
As for notifications, well, I don't get them either =) Cronix has agreed to help maintain the site and fix issues, I just need to get him access to the shell, which I'm trying to get done this weekend.

Ok, the arduino-compatible
Ok, the arduino-compatible parts of the board now work =) Able to upload sketches using a chip-less arduino as a USB-interface. Of course, the bootloader and fuses were done w/ an AVR ISP500 programmer, but once that's done the right connections and dance w/ the power supply results in successful sketch upload every time. Speaking of which, I'd better find a way to either auto-reset on serial or provide a reset button for others. =) That's one of the necessary changes. Found the power rail issue was a jumper under the A4983. Had other problems after that w/ solder job, so started over from scratch. Testing one area at a time, now moving onto RS485 parts.

I'd like to make it compatible with the OM shutter and pre-focus pinouts. Also plan to do an easydriver stackable breakout shield. But we just had our second child so "timelines may vary" :) As usual, congrats on all you pioneering to date. Alwas inspiring to see a comunity grow from nothing into something that is common knowledge. I get a kick out of people at work who send me links to your stuff. I'm like yeah I know this guy! ;)
Sounds like you have things more than under control with your testing. But yeah if you have eagle files that you can send me, I'd love to see what you're up too!
