Hi all,
Just got my Zero Dolly kit last week and got things set up. I noticed something odd and I wanted to run it past someone who is more familiar with the system than me.
I've been checking out a LOT of videos on YouTube, as well as all of the DP instructional videos on the general setup and use of the MX2 controller and dolly. In all the cases I can think of, the dolly cart is usually viewed with the motor at the top right corner of the cart (if viewed from above), and it seems most people situate the MX2 on the lower right corner, with camera mount off to the left side of the cart. When I go to manually move the cart, I select 'R' for right movement, and the cart moves to the left. And if I choose 'L' for the movement, the cart moves to the right. Also, in any other movement settings, the cart moves in the opposite direction of the expected orientation.
Now I'm sure Steve Jobs would say "You're doing it wrong!", and maybe I am. But I was just curious if there is a setting or another easy way to reverse the motion? So that left goes left and right goes right?
